Medical Humanities
The Humanities Group is a community of residents, faculty, and staff that share a love of music, art, and literature. Prior meetings include painting nights, knitting tutorials, explorations of art history and mental illness, and a musical theater outing to Dear Evan Hansen. We currently have an active virtual book club, reading psychiatric non-fiction and contemporary fiction with mental health themes.
In addition to our resident-led group activities, our program is home to a number of impressive talents! Bravo to recent residents who are signing in Broadway tributes to frontline workers, writing novels, or trumpeting for the Me2 Orchestra promoting mental health. Rumor has it there is also a certain glam rock tribute band member high up in the administration!
We welcome the addition of new residents' talents to the program. Feel free to reach out to the program directors or residents with any questions about how you can pursue your interests, both within the program and while living in Boston.
